The Region of Tierra del Vino is located within the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León (Spain), specifically in the Southeast of the Province of Zamora and covers both banks of the River Duero. With a total surface area of 1.799 square kilometres, it includes 56 municipalities, 46 of which belong to the province of Zamora and 10 within the lands of Salamanca. The Tierra del Vino de Zamora Designation of Origin has been in existence since 2007.
