 In 1954 the first regulation of the Priorat DO was approved. The existence of the designation of origin at that time meant being able to offer hope to the region, which had been much punished by depopulation and the general crisis in the rural world. In the year 2000, in light of the great recognition in relation to quality and specificity being received by the Priorat Designation of Origin wines, the Regulatory Council for the Priorat Qualified Designation of Origin was approved. |
